West Ham United defender Vladimir Coufal will miss the Carabao Cup quarterfinal clash with London rivals Tottenham Hotspur after his red card during the Premier League encounter with Arsenal on Wednesday night.
Coufal was sent off against the Gunners for two yellow cards. His second yellow card was as a result of the foul on Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette in the box. At the time of his sending off, Arsenal were leading thanks to the strike from Brazilian star Gabriel Martinelli at the start of the second half. Lacazette stepped up to missthe spot kick conceded by Coufal. In the end, hosts Arsenal wrapped up the 2-0 win over West Ham United thanks to the second goal from Emile Smith-Rowe three minutes from time.
