Arsenal are expected to make a push for Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser. According to the Daily Star Arsenal boss, Unai Emery is a big fan of Fraser and has informed the board that he wants the 25-year-old.
Arsenal are also weighing West Ham winger Felipe Anderson as an alternative. However, it is thought that the Hammers are looking for more than £50 million for the Brazilian. Fraser is a cheaper option due to his current contract situation which makes the transfer an interesting one.
Fraser current contract expires next summer and Bournemouth are ready to cash-in on the player as he is yet to sign a new contract. Fraser was sensational last season bringing pace and quality to the attack last season as he linked up with forward Callum Wilson.
It is thought that Arsenal are looking to take advantage of the player’s contract situation as and are preparing a transfer fee of £20 million for the forward. Bournemouth are believed to be holding out for a fee of £30 million as both sides have begun talks.
Fraser would be a perfect player for the Gunners as he would bring the width that was missing last season. At just 25 years the Scottish international is entering his peak and could improve under the tutelage of Unai Emery. Fraser was exceptional last season netting seven times and bagging 14 assists.
Arsenal are also thought to be closing in on the signing of William Saliba from Saint Etienne as part of their summer spree. The 18-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest talents in French football. Arsenal are of the view that the defender and could provide a long-term solution to their defensive woes.
Saliba made 19 appearances last season helping Saint Etienne to one of the best defensive records in Ligue 1.
